I’ve been really, really lazy lately when it comes to my hair.

I was quite motivated and consistent with my hair regime up until a few weeks ago, and I’m currently struggling to get back into it. My high maintenance natural hair has been such a chore for me lately. These days I’m lucky if I moisturize my hair more than once a week.

I genuinely do like taking care of my hair, but we all go through periods when the things we like to do just aren’t enjoyable anymore. When those times hit, I find myself using headscarves to style (read: hide) my hair as a way to still look stylish and put together.

Whenever I wear headwraps out, I always get compliments and questions from people asking me how I did it. So, I’m not keeping the knowledge to myself any longer – here’s a quick video showing you how to wrap your headscarf. I hope you find this tutorial helpful! I have other headwrap styles that I like to wear but this look is by far the easiest. I may do a part two to this video showing another quick tutorial on a different style in the near future.

The headscarf I’m wearing here is from World Market, but there are many other places such as Aso Dara and The Wrap Life that offer beautiful designs. Check either of these sites out if you’re in the mood to spice up your hair game!

Hello, loves!

If you’ve been following my blog over the last few years you may have noticed some changes….changes with the layout, the header, the logo, and my hair.

I started transitioning my hair from relaxed to natural in March 2015. I haven’t had a relaxer (the chemical treatment used to permanently straighten curly hair) in over a year, and my naturally curly hair is starting to take over!

I’ve surprised myself by how quickly I started to embrace and fall in love with my natural hair. Believe it or not, I’ve never dealt with my natural hair before. I’ve been straightening my hair ever since I was a kid and I’m finally experiencing my true hair texture for the first time in my life.

So here’s a quick update on my hair journey and what has been happening thus far. I hope you take a few minutes to watch my new video today!

And don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re there 🙂
